Philipp Neumann new Business Development Manager of German Centre Beijing

Starting from 1st September 2020, Philipp Neumann has joined the German Centre Beijing as Business Development Manager.

Philipp graduated with a 1st Class Degree in Politics and Chinese from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London and has more than 7 years of China-related experience. Philipp began his career in China as Director of Development at Tsinghua University High School International and has since then launched three start-ups in Beijing, including a German Restaurant.

“Growing up in Germany and having established three companies in Beijing, will help me to relate to German small and medium-sized enterprises well and to assist companies to successfully navigate the fast-paced Chinese market. With my entrepreneurial mindset, I want to constantly identify the needs of our tenants and clients, search for new ideas, improve existing services, products and processes where necessary, and support and advise German-speaking companies in Beijing, while developing new business opportunities for the German Centre."

As a Baden-Wuerttemberg native, Philipp speaks fluent Chinese and is looking forward to combining his passion for China, entrepreneurship, and Germany.

“I view the German Centre as the crucial “bridge builder” between Germany and China. I am proud to be part of this amazing team to build bridges together and support the German Centre as Business Development Manager in adapting to the current challenging market environment.”

With regards to the German Centre tenants and partners, Philipp says: “Please don’t hesitate to contact me - I am very much looking forward to meeting everyone soon and working together with you closely. You can find me in the German Centre DRC office, or just send me an email:”
