Startup Grind Beijing: Empowerment Through Blockchain.

The Startup Grind commu­nity is back at the German Centre Beijing for a fireside chat with Zi Wang, Aaron Li and Yvonne Zhang.

Startup Grind is the largest independent startup commu­nity, actively educating, inspiring, and connecting 1,500,000 entrepreneurs in over 365 cities in 115 countries. They nurture startup ecosystems through events, media and partnerships with organizations like Google for Entrepreneurs.

The German Centre Beijing is happy to once again host the Startup Grind Beijing for an exciting event on blockchain technology:

  • How will blockchain impact people's lives?
  • How to discover high-quality blockchain projects?
  • How can blockchain financially empower people?

The speakers are serial entrepreneurs from Google, Stanford & Carnegie Mellon working on blockchain & AI companies in Silicon Valley.

Zi Wang co-founded Third Planet, a blockchain company that focus on the future of residential homes. Since 2006, Zi worked at Google as an engineer, PMM & PM. He was the first global creative director for the Android and co-founded Google ACME Lab. In 2015, Zi led a ventured backed startup to work with Corning, Google, and Toyota to develop next-generation AI products.

Yvonne Zhang is the founding engineer at Coin Alpha. She is a full-stack engineer, who develops decentralized applications on Ethereum blockchain. She has Dual BA in Economics and Film Production from Northwestern University.

Aaron Li is the founder of Qokka.ai. He was an engineer in machine learning at the Google Research (on core ML systems), NICTA (Australia's national lab, now part of CSIRO), and a lead engineer in the founding team at Scaled Inference, an AI startup backed by Vinod Khosla, David Wallerstein, and Michael Jordan. A Beijing native and New Zealand citizen, Aaron was granted "Einstein green card (EB-1A)" in the US to create fundamental, disruptive tech­no­lo­gies for humans. He started mining Bitcoin since 2011.
