German Centre Hiking in Shangfangshan National Park.
We invite tenants, partners and friends to join us for a one-day hiking trip to Shangfangshan National Park in in the southwest of Beijing.
Shangfangshan National Forest Park is located in Fangshan District in the southwest of Beijing, about 85 km southwest from Liangmaqiao. The park is known for its big forest area, ancient trees, large variety of plants, ancient temples, Buddhist shrines, and karst caves. The most spectacular of the caves is Yunshui Cave, which features stalactites and stalagmites along with neon-lit Buddha statues. The top of the mountain is 860 meters high. Hikers can enjoy the stunning scenery and appreciate some red and yellow autumn colors.

Bus transfer to Shangfangshan: estimated driving time is about 2 hours
The hike in Shangfangshan takes about four hours. After the hike German Centre will arrange BBQ and drinks for everyone.

Meeting point: Meet at DRC Liangmaqiao Diplomatic Office Building Lobby
There are limited seats and registration is first come, first served.
Fee: 120 RMB for German Centre tenants and 160 RMB for non-tenants, including transportation, entrance fee and some snacks and drinks (children under 6 years are free of charge). We kindly ask for advance payment before the trip.
- Sturdy footwear, sporty clothes and sun protection are recommended。The temperature in the cave is low, please wear warm clothes.
- Recommended to bring passport/ID card and Health Kit/ app
- Minors need to be accompanied by an immediate adult family member.
- Participation is at your own risk and participants are asked to sign a waiver before the hike.
